About me
Hi! I’m Juliette — a teen baker, cultural explorer, and passionate food lover who believes that food has the power to connect people, tell stories, and spark change.
My journey began in my own kitchen during the COVID-19 lockdowns, when I turned to baking as a way to cope with the uncertainties and bring a little sweetness to my family’s day. One of my first creations? Macarons filled with strawberry jam I made from scratch — they weren’t perfect, but they were mine. That experience lit a spark in me, and I haven’t stopped baking since.
As I grew more confident, I began sharing my fusion-inspired treats at the Fullerton Farmers Market and local pop-up events, combining Asian flavors with classic desserts. I found so much joy connecting with my community — seeing someone smile after trying my sakura jelly cheesecake or s’mores cookie (which even won awards at the OC Fair!) reminded me that food can bring us together in powerful ways.
But my passion for food isn’t just about sweets. I’ve also volunteered at food banks and harvesting programs, learning where our food comes from and how access to healthy, fresh ingredients isn’t something everyone has. That experience opened my eyes to the real impact food can have — especially for underserved communities.
This blog is my way of continuing that mission. Through travel, culture, and food, I hope to inspire other young people to get creative in the kitchen, be curious about the world, and realize that you don’t have to wait to grow up to make a difference. Whether I’m sharing recipes, stories from my travels, or moments from the farmer’s market, I want to celebrate the beauty of cultures coming together — one dish at a time.
Thanks for joining me on this journey. Let’s explore, bake, and make the world a little more delicious together!
Juliette
